I saw Kevin Devine and the Front Bottoms together last night in PA. It was one of the best combinations Ive seen in a while. Really small personal venue, both were running their own merch tables which was awesome cuz you got the chance to go and bullshit with them. First time seeing the front bottoms, they were amazing. Kevin’s set might have been the best I’ve seen. He managed to play a song off of every album aside from circle gets the square. He played a lot of his political tracks which was incredible, I’ve never heard him play No Time Flat before. A solo Yr Damned Ol Dad, cotton crush, and tap-dance may have made the night.

I’m more into his folky, rock albums like split the country and put your ghost to rest but fuck, I really love what he’s been doing with brother’s blood and between the clouds. This song: ughhhhhh so good
